mr. 40D and I

In efforts to work on my new relationship with mr. 40D (trying to decide if we're even friends) we worked on our focusing issues this morning. Specifically at 3.5 f/stop, which I am really struggling with. Heck, I'm struggling with 5.6 and all numbers larger for that matter. I just don't get it. If it weren't for my focusing issues, I think we could be very good friends. Maybe best buddies even because the quality is there. Much more refined than my XT. But the focus is terrible. There's a good chance he will be sent away for awhile to think about how badly he's been behaving. :)

So here are two of my favorite pics of my very willing little model as of late. Taken in the messy bathroom so had to crop the heck out of them, but you know, had to crop the bedhead hair anyway. :) Oh, and just have to throw out there that Emma was not moving around and I shouldn't have had focusing issues.

Having said that, this one is pretty nicely in focus:

And this one, which is of course my favorite, is out of focus:

But I love them both. I really need to work on getting Emma out of her pajamas - aka: raggedy old clothing - before taking pics of her. This lovely top, for instance, was a onesie sized at about 18 months. Chop off the bottom and use it for longer. Why not? :)
