for class

Tonight is my last chat with Wendy. Class is almost over. I'm a bit relieved only because it has been really hard keeping up with work, class, life... But mostly I'm sad that its ending. I have learned more than I ever imagined I would when I signed up for this class. It was the absolute best thing I could have done for myself in this stage of my photography. I have also met six incredible women (including Wendy of course) that I hope I will stay in touch with when class is over. It has been a joy sharing this time with them, learning from them, watching their growth. And now I look forward to watching how they continue to grow even after this experience.

Having said all that, I didn't get the best photos for my last assignment, but I can accept that. There's a lot of information to process for each assignment and I never really feel that I get the best shots, but as long as I learn from the assignment, then I'm okay with turning in less than stellar shots.

Here are just a few for tonight:

Ethan would not stop shaking the life out of these poor flowers.

Auntie Vivian

Photobucket

Daniel's sister lives in New York and she was here for Christmas and the New Year. The last time she was here for a visit, Ethan had just been born and he was maybe 3 months old when she left. All the kids must have looked huge to her. A couple days after Christmas we went over for a visit and took these pics...

Ivy was born right before Vivian left last time.

It was Connor's idea to take pictures jumping.

Ummm, yeah, Grandpa has a unique style of decorating. Festive looking photos though, don't you think?

3 Month Old Beauty... My Niece

Her name is Ivy Meadow and isn't she just beautiful? Definitely at her chubbiest at three months, and so pink and cute. A sweet disposition too. Barely fussed at all. Her mother and I were exhausted by the end, with trying to prop the bears up, changing the backdrop, and trying to find ways to keep her propped up. But I am so happy with how these came out, and thanks to my sister-in-law's creativity, learned a couple new things that will help me with future shoots. So thanks Carol! And thanks for sharing your little beauty. I love that I'm asked to take photos of my nieces and nephew - what a privelege!
